Geetha is a Senior Teaching Fellow in Finance and Economics at the Economics, Finance and Entrepreneurship Department of Aston University. She previously worked as a Lecturer at the Division of Economics of Nottingham Trent University and a Research Associate at the Division of Economics of Loughborough University.
Her research interests lie in international economics, the economics of sports and financial economics, with a particular focus on (a) performance analysis and benchmarking using econometric and mathematical programming methodologies and (b) how these techniques can be applied to inform and assess the impact of policy and decision making within financial services industries and in international trade.
Her published work examines the economic performance of financial systems in emerging markets and bilateral trade determinants. And her current research examines the determinants and performance of portfolio diversification within the real estate sector. Over her career, she has taught on undergraduate and postgraduate courses relating to microeconomics, finance and quantitative and qualitative research methods.
